Common Grounds

I want to officially extend my apology to those I may have offended by any type of strong statements that may have been different from your views.

I learned something very important from Richard Myers from Bellingham. We were getting all excited about how we were thinking alike. Then, I was about to say something different from him. He stopped me and asked me if he could share something he learned as a missionary in Africa: that we don't know well enough to talk about differences, and if we could continue with what we agree on.

Wow! It suddenly made sense to me: why some people have been avoiding me and why I sensed that I might have offended some people.

I am sorry. Please forgive me. Let us begin with what we agree on. As members of Everett 40 Days for Life Group, we agree much - in fact on the most important matter of our time! Lord help us! Too long have we allowed abortion to go on in our society!!!

Richard Myers is a street performer and gave us CD "Relationsongs 1".

On his way back home, he stopped by Seattle 40 Days for Life, then at shortly after 8 pm last night, he stopped by E40DFL and visited with us (my husband & my friend My - yes, that's her real name. :) - in the midst of heavy rain! Good thing we were holding three big umbrellas, donated by Mr. Dan Walton.

He was discerning whether he should lead Bellingham 40DFL in Spring 2013 or not. We encouraged him without any doubt. I told him, that if I could do it, he could do better than me; besides, he had really good sense of humor and so wise! I will be forever grateful to him - though I know that the Holy Spirit spoke through him - for the most important lesson for me. +Praise & thanks be to God!
