"40 Days for Life" has definitely stirred many people's conscience, including my own. Though I have yet to show the level of commitment on my part, I feel very strongly about the importance of defending life - especially those who cannot defend his/her own.
When it comes to a life or death issue, everything else is a secondary issue. I can see why Fr. Frank Pavone was saying how such issues are fundamental to our faith. I suppose many things in life can become a life or death issue: natural disaster, war, famine...
However, abortion is intentionally killing an innocent baby!
Anyway, during Thanksgiving, I realize I have so much to be thankful for. I am living, under no direct life-threats, I am fairly well-fed, I have a loving family and friends, and most of all that God loves me.
St. Teresa de Los Andes said that we can only be joyful when we think about God's love towards us.
May we remember to thank God before we thank each other for all the blessings.
I also want to thank my parents, Brad's parents, and the rest of our family - including you! ^^
