First Saturday

It's the First Saturday of February of the Leap Year! :)

Shortly before heading out to the 7:30 am mass and Benediction, I thought I'd share my thoughts with those who might care.

I woke up this morning - a long process since about 3:30 am (because I fell asleep with light on!) - with many thoughts, especially about our Parish Pro-Life Group.

Every 1st Friday from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, a few of us meet each month, to discuss about what we can do to be better informed and to raise awareness in our community - about the importance of Gospel of Life: that life is precious from womb to tomb, without ANY exception whatsoever. We can say this with confidence because we are made in the image of God and God is merciful more than any sin we can imagine - as long as we turn to God for forgiveness.

Yesterday, Dawn Myers, our fearless leader gave us the most informative presentation about "Love and Marriage" - so timely as the definition of marriage is under enormous attack - by supposedly Catholic governor Christine Gregoire and her troops in Olympia and the rest of the state, with the help of over a million dollar donation from outside of the state as well. Sad! It is a suicidal act to deny the definition of marriage as between one man and one woman. Marriage is a gift from God. To deny that is also a suicidal act.
