2012 Upcoming Events

What a great sign of hope - to see more than 12 churches represented on our Day 1 (Ash Wednesday, 2/22/12) of Everett 40 Days for Life among more than 24 prayer volunteers on a sunny day, a miracle in itself because the weather has been rainy, dreary & cold until early Wednesday morning.

Then of course, today is snowy! Hopefully, it won't stick too long.

Here are a list of upcoming events, prompted by Fr. Bloom's letter: please mark your calendar for May 12, 2012 for the Dinner Auction to benefit the Mary Bloom Center. Fr. Bloom just got back from Peru, where he "has been taking an extended vacation, subsequent to the celebration of his fortieth anniversary of priesthood."

As Mark Shea mentioned, Fr. Bloom is one of the holiest priests we know. And we are very fortunate to have him in our Seattle Archdiocese and I hope many people will be at the Dinner Auction in Mary 12, 2012. I am thinking that perhaps many of our Everett 40 Days for Life prayer volunteers can gather to celebrate our Victory Rally or post-Spring 2012 Campaign celebration there? What do you think? Please let me know.

* Everett 40 Days for Life Spring 2012 Campaign continues through Palm Sunday, April 1, 2012 - from 8 am to 8 pm, daily! So far, every hour has been filled - even if partially. :)

* Adult Faith Formation (Word on Fire by Fr. Baron video series)
Tuesday Mornings 8:45 am - 10:15 am in the Parish Office (from 2/7 to 4/10)
Wednesday Evenings 7 pm - 8:15 pm in the Parish Hall (from 2/8 to 5/2 - except 2/22, 3/21 & 4/4)

* Catholic Professionals of Seattle March Meeting (Friday, March 2, 2012 - 6:30 am to 9:15 am) - Guest Speaker: Camille Pauley of Healing the Culture. Topic: What Are Catholic teens Saying About Pro-Choice and Pro-Life? - RSVP 48 hours before the Event

* SMM/SJ Parish Pro-Life Group March Meeting - 1st Friday, March 2, 2012 from 6 pm to 6:55 pm, followed by Stations of Cross at SMM Church at 7 pm.

* For St. Mary Magdalen Parish/St. John Mission Lenten schedule (i.e. confession, Stations of the Cross, Knights of Columbus Fish Dinners, Mass Schedule, Parish Mission - 3/17 through 3/22, and Holy Week schedule), please visit the website.
