In 9/23/10, I came across Sound Insights' recording on the topic of "Negligence vs. Diligence" by Dr. Tom Curran. And it was re-broadcast, July 22, 2010 (original broadcast date was St. Patrick's Day, 3/17/12) - what a date! :) St. Mary Magdalen, please help me to choose to be diligent - always awake for the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
Too long, have I struggled repeatedly with the vice of sloth! I learned to wage a war within: "In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke the demon of sloth to leave me and my surroundings."
Often angels have come to me, asking, "Schola, do you really want to get rid of this demon of Sloth?" And I've been saying, yes; then I invited the demon of Sloth back in my comfort zones, i.e. couch, bad habits, etc. No, no, no!!!
Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner!!!
I don't want this awful demon of sloth! Too long, have I procrastinated! Too long, have I been irresponsible in so many ways! Too long, have I broken promises because I DID NOT FEEL LIKE IT!!!
Virtues are formed by prayer. Prayer preserves temperance. Prayer suppresses anger. Prayer prevents emotions of pride and envy. Prayer draws into the soul the Holy Ghost and raises man to Heaven. - St. Ephrem +++Oremus. May we stay on course, through daily self-denial, taking up our ✝️, to follow Him - to know, love and serve God - with the guidance of the Declaration of Truth, by Cardinal Burke & other leaders, 31 May'19... May the Holy Spirit help us to understand and guide us. Amen.
